Where do the City of York Council's priorities lie in respect to the rural parts of its responsibilities?
The council states in the York Citizen that the proposals for the A19 had extensive public consultation on a package of suggestions made by consultants.
We did not even get a leaflet about the proposals until I not only asked for them but also delivered them all through the parish.
The council is pretty quick at putting up the council tax by 7.5 per cent and expecting us to pay for reduced services, so why waste time and money on publications such as the York Citizen if it cannot be bothered to make sure we get it at an appropriate time?
The fact that we received the York Citizen with a front page headline of Cash Found To Help Key Services after we had been told of the massive 7.5 per cent increase and cuts in services surely must make the citizens of York question the validity of any statement put out by this council?
