During the early hours of Sunday morning, I had the misfortune to lose my purse in town.
I was delighted to be informed by the police that someone had had the good grace to post it through the door of my local Spar shop. Although devoid of cash at this stage, all the other contents were intact including photographs of my son and dogs.
It's at times like these you realise it's the personal things that are important, and not the money. It just goes to show that York residents are an honest lot! Thanks to the person concerned.
