Westcoast, whose two successes over timber have both been gained at Ludlow, returns to his favourite venue tomorrow with solid prospects of completing a course treble.

The Brown Clee Handicap Hurdle over three miles is the target for Westcoast, who represents veteran trainer Martin Tate, still very much an astute operator, despite having a much-reduced string nowadays.

Significantly, Tate completed a double on this card 12 months ago, which included winning the equivalent race with Two Lords.

Westcoast has proved a model of consistency this season, winning one of his four races - over this course and distance - and twice finishing second.

His latest effort, at Leicester last week when he finished fifth, can be excused as he was disadvantaged by dropping back in distance to an extended two-and-a-half miles.

Jodie Mogford, good value for his 3lb allowance, has the mount tomorrow on Westcoast, who is napped to give Martin Tate an afternoon to remember.

Nicky Henderson, putting the finishing touches to a power-packed team for the Cheltenham Festival, can win the EBF Tattersalls Ireland Mares Only Novices' Chase (Qualifier) with Tempestuous Lady.

A useful performer between the flags before making her mark over hurdles, has not enjoyed the smoothest of transitions to chasing, but finished a respectable runner-up to Mystere at Towcester last time.

This looks a moderate affair and Tempestuous Lady will not find many better opportunities to open her fencing account. The always excellent Mick Fitzgerald has the mount.

Former Ryedale jockey Eugene Husband, now carving out a niche for himself in the Midlands, rode a winner at Leicester yesterday aboard 11-2 shot Fin Bec, and he can follow-up on Jazzman in the Forbra Gold Challenge Cup Handicap Chase.

Trained, like Fin Bec by former jockey Graham McCourt, Jazzman has been running consistently well and deserves a return to the winners' circle.

Red Hot Indian goes on the warpath in the Tote Lady In Red 'National Hunt' Novices' Handicap Hurdle.

A winner at Huntingdon last time when he beat Tough Act by five lengths Red Hot Indian, trained by Venetia Williams, looks capable of following-up under Norman Williamson.

Williams and Williamson can also score with Superb Leader in the Levy Board Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Although a beaten favourite on his debut at Chepstow in November, Superb Leader performed with plenty of credit that day. He is open to plenty of improvement.
