Is your school struggling to organise a costly trip to the Millennium Dome? And do you think it's too far away for a same-day return journey?

The Dome: Chance for school to win a super overnight trip to London to see the attraction

Now you have the chance to win a super overnight trip for your school, courtesy of McArthurGlen.

The Evening Press has teamed up with the Fulford designer outlet to send a coachload of youngsters to the Dome in London's Greenwich - with overnight accommodation thrown in.

From tonight, we will be publishing a coupon every night this week with two new questions in each paper. Questions will be a mix of fun and local history in the last Millennium.

Just save up the coupons, fill them in at the end of the week, and send in your answers.

The more coupons you and your school send in, the more chances of your entry being chosen when the first correct entry is drawn.

The competition is open to pupils, teachers, mums and dads, grandparents, anyone - just nominate the school you want to win.

McArthurGlen came up with the fantastic prize after reading in the Evening Press about a local school's problems over a trip to the Millennium attraction.

Many schools in Yorkshire have difficulties in affording transport for trips to Greenwich and even then, the distance involved is thought to be too much for schoolchildren to tackle in a single day.

"A trip to the Millennium Dome is the experience of a lifetime and we wanted a local school to have the opportunity to make that trip and stay overnight to get the most out of it," said the York designer outlet's marketing manager, Amanda Wright.

Deadline for entries for the competition is noon on Saturday, March 4, and the winning entry will be drawn by York's very own national Primary Teacher of the Year, Norma Machell.

Mrs Machell, who was made an OBE in the New Year Honours List, is deputy head at Scarcroft Primary School, York. She says she is delighted to be involved in the draw.

The competition is open to schools within the Evening Press circulation area in York and North and East Yorkshire (if the paper is on sale in your town or village, you are within that area).

The trip - for a party of up to 48 pupils and staff - can be taken in March or April (subject to availability).

All you have to do to win this incredible prize is collect the coupons and fill in the answers to each evening's questions.

The final two questions will appear in Saturday's paper. When you think you have all the answers, send your coupons (you may submit as many coupons as you like, although photocopies are not acceptable) to: McArthurGlen Millennium Dome competition, c/o Editorial, Evening Press, 76-86 Walmgate, York, YO1 9YN.

Usual York & County Press rules apply and the editor's decision is final.
