On Wednesday's National Lottery show there will be a guaranteed York winner. The city's National Centre for Early Music is to be featured on the programme, giving it some wonderful exposure.
This is an excellent public relations exercise for everyone concerned. The Early Music Centre is an example of how Lottery funding can make a real difference to a worthwhile cause. And the television show is the perfect platform for the centre to sell itself to the great British public.
