Looking for a place in the sun or a taste of relaxation to come? A major holiday event organised by the Evening Press is being held tomorrow. Our annual Holiday, Travel and Leisure Exhibition, which is sponsored by GNER, takes place between 10am and 4pm at Ask Restaurant, the Grand Assembly Rooms, Blake Street, York.
A total of 17 companies are taking part, including holiday companies, tour operators, a car hire firm and a hotel - and of course the Evening Press Reader Travel Stand. Senior sales advisor Caroline Baines, pictured, said: "I'm looking forward to seeing you on the day, to make your holiday bookings."
As well as holidays bookings being taken on the day goods will be sold, and there is a competition open to anyone who comes to the exhibition, with the top prize books from the travel publisher Lonely Planet and an atlas, kindly provided by the Borders store in Davygate.
Other attractions include Arabian dancing demonstrations at 11.30am and 2.30pm, and Ask restaurant will be open for lunch from noon. The first 50 visitors will get a goodie bag.
