Little Thomas Duggan from Wheldrake, near York, is a boy in a hurry.
The 10-year-old is to fulfil a dream when he tackles the world-famous Silverstone motor racing circuit.
He is taking part in this year's Honda Go-Kart Challenge which involves races around Britain - including Silverstone.
The Wheldrake Primary School pupil gained his go-kart racing licence last year and enjoyed a brilliant debut season in his Honda Cadet machine which is capable of reaching speeds of up to 60mph.
He was a regular victor at the track at Tockwith, winning the club championship. He also won the club championship race at Rowrah in Cumbria and also put in sparkling performances at Warden Law, near Newcastle, and Wombwell, South Yorkshire, to end the season with over 20 trophies.
Thomas was bitten by the karting bug three years ago when he went to watch his dad, Wayne, racing at Tockwith.
Now the Wheldrake youngster is looking forward to racing at Silverstone and circuits as far afield as Dorset and Scotland. Anyone who can help him with sponsorship can contact Wayne on York (01904) 448838.
