Rufforth 'A' and 'B' teams both won their matches in the York and District Netball League scoring 32 goals each.
The 'A' team were at home to Haxby IV, current leaders of the second division, and in a very close match Rufforth were trailing at quarter time by four goals.
However, due to superb passing in to the circle by wing attack Franky Myers and excellent shooting by goal attack Emily Janes by half time Rufforth had a one-goal lead.
Rufforth's Sally Howes and Jodie Norman provided a strong defence limiting Haxby's attempts at goal. Rufforth increased their lead in the final quarter and won the match by 32-23.
Rufforth's player of the match was Emily Janes.
At the same time Rufforth 'B' played away against Kroy 'C' at Heworth.
The match started with both teams scoring goal for goal and at half time the score was 12-12.
Kroy scored the first three goals after the break, but due to fast accurate passing down the court, Rufforth took the lead.
Rufforth widened the gap towards the final whistle finally winning by 32-26.
Player of the match for Rufforth was Helen Clegg.
