Richard Johnson, who is riding out of his skin in pursuit of Tony McCoy in the jockeys' championship, can continue an excellent week tomorrow at Wincanton.
Successful on Rowington at Wetherby on Monday and on Dutch Dyane at Leicester yesterday, Johnson is fancied to land the Tim Forster Cup Handicap Chase on Step On Eyre.
Henry Daly, trainer of Step On Eyre, will be extra keen to win the inaugural running of this race because it is in memory of the Grand National-winning trainer to whom Daly was assistant for many years before taking over last season.
Step On Eyre has not won this term but is gradually running into form. On his latest start, at Haydock, the ten-year-old finished a creditable runner-up to Bobby Grant, a much-improved horse this season and a formidable opponent in handicap company.
Step On Eyre has nothing of Bobby Grant's calibre to contend with tomorrow and, with Johnson in such cracking from, victory looks on the cards.
The Tote Bookmakers Showcase Handicap Hurdle appears an ideal opportunity for Granny Rich to continue her unblemished campaign.
The six-year-old is unbeaten in four races and could hardly have scored more easily than when beating Little Serena by seven lengths on a tight rein at Hereford last time out.
Jodie Mogford again has the mount on Granny Rich tomorrow and can steer this in-form mare to a fifth consecutive success.
Minehead trainer Phillip Hobb can do little wrong this season and has good prospects of lifting the Potters Handicap Hurdle with Richmond Lady.
Although one of the stable's lesser lights, Richmond Lady showed a willing attitude to beat Treasure Chest at Exeter last time. A mare who stays particularly well, she will be in her element over this two and threequarter miles and is awarded the Nap vote.
At Huntingdon, Paris Pike can continue Middleham trainer Ferdy Murphy's excellent run by winning the Bertie Masters Memorial Novices' Chase.
A horse with a bright future over fences, Paris Pike got off the mark at Kelso in November when beating the favourite Legendary Line by a short-head. There is much more to come from Paris Pike, who can follow-up here in the hands of JP McNamara.
Towcester trainer John Upson, who is enjoying a tremendous campaign, can add to his bulging score with Billy Buckskin in the Mail On Sunday Conditional Jockey's Handicap Hurdle.
Fairly lightly-raced since missing the whole of last season, Billy Buckskin got back in winning form at Towcester last month when scoring by ten lengths from Come On Eilish.
Now that he has got his head in front, Billy Buckskin can oblige again.
There is little form to go on in the Throwa 'British Bred' National Hunt Flat Race, which makes life rather tricky for punters. But James Fanshawe fields an interesting representative in Harvey Leader - named after the famous trainer of yesteryear - and the mount of Mick Fitzgerald.
