Rocking Rudolph has done it again. The hardy reindeer has raised £6,315 for the Hospice 2000 appeal, bettering last year's total.
Rudolph himself was not around for yesterday's photograph, as he is enjoying a well-deserved period of rest and refurbishment.
Praise too is due to Rudolph's human handlers, the Minster Lions, who braved all weathers to raise the money.
Collectors even stood out in the chill winds of Clifton Moor outside Tesco, a place which anecdotal evidence suggests is one of the coldest on earth.
All thanks too to those who gave money. The small change you gave could make a big difference.
