How could they even think of selling DN1
I find it hard to understand why the City of York Council, custodians of York City history, could even contemplate selling DN1 at auction. It would appear such an ungrateful and mercenary act; profiting from a generous gift for the Lord Mayor's car from a Mr Myton in the 1960s. Making Millennium

Is it still accepted practice that builders should clean their vehicle wheels before driving from the building site? Alternatively are they obliged to clean up the mess that they have created? Fears over fire cover
A little known fact is that a new fire station is proposed to be built next year near the Huntington/Earswick roundabout on the ring road. The reason for this is apparently greater fire cover is required in the North York area.
