ON TRACK: Keith Hirst, general manager of Sandbeck Motors, celebrates the start of his Wetherby firm's massive extension
Sandbeck Motors, the Wetherby-based Vauxhall retailer, has begun a £200,000 extension programme at its Deighton Road site.
It follows the firm's acquisition last July of a quarter-acre filling station site next door to its premises.
The new development will double the space available there for sale of both new and used cars.
The company also plans to open a dedicated new and used van centre supplying a full range of Vauxhalls. There will also be an accident repair department producing factory-standard paint and bodywork.
Keith Hirst, general manager, said: "This investment puts us well ahead of our competitors in the range and number of cars and vans that we can display."
