I certainly hope Bryan Lawson (Letters, January 8) had his tongue firmly in his cheek when writing his praise for the 'superb' Gaby Roslin.
Gaby Roslin is a dire television presenter, parading her ignorance, and generally acting in a moronic manner. I have nothing against her personally, but I have the utmost contempt for the BBC management who inflict this monstrosity on us through our television screens whilst paying her a ridiculously over-inflated salary.
Indeed, Ms Roslin is not the only example of her kind in television these days. The recent opening of the Blue Peter time capsules allowed one and all to witness the infinitely greater degree of professionalism exhibited by Peter Purves, John Noakes and Valerie Singleton compared to the present crop of presenters.
