Detectives who arrested a York policeman in connection with an armed robbery in the Yorkshire Dales confirmed today that a woman has been questioned on the matter and released on bail.
The Evening Press reported this week that licensing officer PC Arthur Swaine had been quizzed over the incident which happened in Burton-in-Lonsdale, in the Yorkshire Dales, last September.
A police spokesman said today that a woman who was arrested in York on Thursday had been interviewed at Skipton Police Station yesterday and had been bailed until January 13.
