Poacher's Ray McInally is still in pole position of the York Exhibition Hotel Group League Three Fastest Finishes competition.

His 46 aggregate (14, 15, 17) is two less than that registered by both Heath Scaife of Cygnet (12, 17, 19) and Barry Noble, Dringhouses, who's best, from nine games under 21 darts, is 15, 15, 18 darts.

Dave Gibbons (Shepherds), is on 54, Ray Ward (Acorn) and Gary Wensley (Green Tree) lie on 55.

The Captain's Cup competition date is next Wednesday.

The individual, down to the last eight, is January 19 and the pairs round is January 26.

With financial assistance from John Smith's Brewery, Escrick Social Club is putting up a £200 first prize for the winner of an Open Individual competition.

Qualifiers from four separate rounds will contest the final on Saturday, February 5.

The first round is next Friday, then January 21, 28 and February 4.

Competitors may enter one or all rounds (until they qualify) and the fee is £2 per occasion payable on the night.

Matches start at 8pm.
