So, City of York Council have ordered two new bus shelters in response to public demand. Is there to be no explanation why the new silly screens (suitable only for advertising) were ordered in the first place? Who ordered them? Has anyone been reprimanded? And why are they to remain?
Could not this caring council which spends thousands of pounds on consultation take a advertising space in the Evening Press and explain to the hundreds of people who they are trying to woo onto the buses, how these so-called shelters were ever allowed in the first place? Or is it 'closed' council business?
