BAA McArthur Glen, which owns the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet near York, has won a Government award for support of local arts enterprise.

Norma Middlemiss, the centre's manager, was presented with the Arts and Business award by Dr Kim Howells, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Competition, at a ceremony in Sheffield.
The awards, which are organised through the Arts and Business North Pairing Scheme, acknowledge the contributions businesses have made to local arts.
The York complex scooped its award for sponsoring York's Millennium Mystery Plays.
Other local companies presented with a sponsorship award were CGU Life, Shepherd Building Group and Railtrack.
