I was interested to read the comments of Mr Mason, director of The Mower Shop, in Church Fenton (Evening Press, August 10).
He expressed his concern about the changeover from leaded petrol to unleaded in January 2000 and its effect on small four-stroke petrol engines in lawn mowers, cement mixers, generators, elevators etc.
Surely the best course for anyone concerned would be to have their engines de-carbonised and serviced now before January 2000 when the trade is quiet.
I, for one, would welcome the work.
