Sandy and Tim Franklin's 12,000 mile round-the-world cycle ride is a remarkable achievement. By forming a two-person chain gang, they were able to see the world from their saddles.
They followed summer around the globe and therefore have experienced more rain in York since returning than they did in Canada, America, Australia and India combined.
The couple are now looking for a fresh challenge. But after cycling around the globe, what next? A bike ride through the solar system, of course - courtesy of the scale model being constructed on the York to Selby cycle path.
