A LITTLE bit of grass and a few trees may not seem to most property developers an important issue, but I really do believe the city needs congratulating on the work they have just carried out on Foss Islands Road, York.
From a wide Tarmac pavement that offered no attraction whatsoever, the work they have just finished deserves congratulations and is a credit to the city. We should look at these sorts of proposals elsewhere.
I appreciate there are pressures on budgets and work of this nature has to take its place in the priority list, but in terms of enhancing our environment, and in respect of Foss Islands in particular, it is a vast improvement.
