Breast cancer is an all too prevalent disease as the high profile deaths of Linda McCartney and Dusty Springfield have shown over the past year.
Your readers may not realise that 35,000 women a year in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer and 14,000 will die from the disease.
I support a research charity called Action Against Breast Cancer (ABC) which is working to find a long-term solution to the disease. To fund this initial work donors and supporters are needed.
If any readers can lend support to this admirable cause - either by giving a donation, raising funds or selling ABC badges - I should like to hear from them.
