BETWEEN the early 1920s and 1981, the charity Toc H (among its many community projects) ran hostels for young men in cities and towns in Britain and abroad.
These were known as Toc H Marks. Thousands of men, leaving home for the first time, found in them a welcoming family and a safe base. They also faced, and responded to, the challenge to serve the surrounding community. Many, we know are grateful to Toc H for that experience.
We would like to hear from any who have good memories of their time as 'Marksmen'. We want to know how it affected them. And of course, memories of other Toc H experiences, even if not from the Marks, will be equally welcome. We shall acknowledge these and explain about the exciting new projects Toc H is tackling today.
I write as a former national chaplain of Toc H. I hope many old Marksmen will write to me at the address below.
