The Harrogate-based firm says youngsters with the name Betty can come along and enjoy tea and cakes at the tea party on Monday morning. "They will probably have to be very little, because we don't want anyone missing out on school," said spokeswoman Katy Squire. Little Elizabeths are also welcome. Of course, they are all welcome to bring mums and dads with them." She said the little Bettys would all leave with a Bettys goody bag packed full of treats, and also have the opportunity to open a very unique birthday present to the firm - details of which are being kept under wraps at this stage.
Little Bettys are being asked to turn up at the tea-rooms in St Helen's Square at 10.30am on Monday, but anyone wanting to take their child should call Bettys on 01904 659142 over the weekend.
