For three and a half hours I and my fellow shopkeepers in Fossgate had to endure a car alarm going off every few seconds, for 210 minutes.
The police told me they could do nothing because the car was not parked illegally. If I park my car on a single yellow line for more than ten minutes, I am automatically fined, even though I am causing no trouble to anyone.
Surely traffic wardens can be empowered to slap a ticket on these car alarm menaces, and to slap on more the longer the nuisance persists.
