It's obvious that because of cutbacks, the highways safety officer has been made redundant if the new Beckfield/Boroughbridge concoction is anything to go by.
This road improvement beats all the other rubbish City of York Council has thrown at us in the name of traffic calming/safety.
This so-called roundabout is an accident waiting to happen for motorists, cyclists or pedestrians alike.
The roundabout is so far offset that the users it is intended for cannot use it. Instead they have to use a separate system to cross, which I cannot begin to describe because there would be no room for other letters.
There is one thing, by the time you have crossed all the red tremor lines and if you can stop shaking long enough, it is well worth a look to see this useless white blob.
But beware of things that may jump out in front of you when you least expect it. This one is definitely not in the Highway Code.
