NOW that the Scots and Welsh have their own Parliament or Assembly isn't it time we English had our own?
To this end I am proposing setting up The TEA Party (Treat Everyone Alike) getting rid of foreigners, such as the Scots, Welsh and Irish from our Parliament, scrapping the May Day holiday in favour of St George's Day when pubs will have extended licensing hours as are allowed for St Patrick's Day etc.
Meetings will be held in T.E.A. rooms with tea and teacakes as refreshments. I think we might forego becoming tea-total but our emblem could be a teabag tastefully pinned to the lapel.
So, you English, rally round - the TEA Party could be just your cup of tea.
