THE phone rang, it was Sir Richard, his voice urgent: Why hadn't he seen me at Elizabeth's BAFTA awards?
As an important 'extra' I had won an award. It was at this point I awoke!
Your excellent article (April 13) about the film Elizabeth, brought back happy memories for me.
As one of the multitude of 'extras' we had worked hard to deliver what was expected of us and part of my dream was true: we had been made to feel important and professional.
I would like to say a big hello to all my fellow 'extras' and hope that we will meet again perhaps on the set of another film shot at York.
