When Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering boasted that his Luftwaffe would bomb Britain into submission in 1940 he had no precedent to guide him.
He had to rely on faith, guesswork and his own genius.
Air Marshal Tony (Blair) is a far better case. History has shown how effective a judicious sprinkling of kindly bombs can be. If bombing succeeded in Vietnam and Iraq, it's certainly sure to succeed in Yugoslavia.
