Gladiator Hunter: bids farewell to city
The TV star - real name James Crossley - has left his roots in Poppleton for a two-bedroom flat in south London.
Ten crates of Hunter's possessions are being shifted down the M1 by Walmgate Movers and Storers.
Hunter, 25, has moved to London to pursue his TV career, and is about to start filming four special episodes of the hit show Gladiators, to be screened next Christmas.
But although there are currently no plans for another Gladiators series, Hunter will not disappear from our screens. He is fronting a new TV series called Peak Performance, linked to the magazine Men's Health.
He said: "It's about things like fast cars, fitness and sport. It's great fun filming it and it should make for lively entertainment."
The 6ft 4in York strongman was coy yesterday about his love life, revealing only that he had been dating a girl for some time.
In the past he has been out with TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson, and was also linked to former EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook - who played Sam Butcher in the BBC soap.
