I'M sure every caring person was horrified at the treatment meted out by Mary Chipperfield on a chimp and a sick elephant in her care. She should not be allowed to keep animals ever again.
However, on Saturday in the name of sport, horses in the Grand National gave their all over enormous jumps, after being whipped and whipped and whipped. How many horses were injured we will never know.
It's all to do with money, and nothing to do with sport.
