The Kosovo appeal has reached the hearts of the public and the response has been magnificent.
But wouldn't it have been a more generous gesture if the thousands of telephone calls to donate money through credit cards were able to be made via a 'free' telephone number and not charged at national rates?
Perhaps British Telecom may enhance the appeal by donating some of the additional profits now being made by these additional calls.
