I consider myself a tolerant sort of person but would quite happily strangle the individual responsible for encouraging Sir Cliff Richard to sing at the Davis Cup recently.
Only a couple of years ago much to my display the then bearded wonder raced in to Wembley Stadium at the FA cup final and murdered Abide With Me.
What a Charlie!
There is a time and a place for Cliff, namely Wembley Arena where he can whip the middle aged ladies into a frenzy.
No objection there, but for the sake of my blood pressure and the increasing urge to hurl the remote control at the TV screen, quit performing at the major sporting events, Cliff.
