When the Kosovan crisis is over, whichever way matters are resolved, remember what the Serbian people and their leaders have done.
Remember it when they want you to go on holiday there, or to buy their goods, or to invest in their industry.
Remember that the Serbian people went along with a course of action that could yet precipitate a third world war, and remember the misery on the faces of those refugees huddled against the rain who look just like us.
This is not somebody else's problem, we all know what is going on, and systematic execution, torture, rape and expulsion, do not permit us to wonder if we really have to get involved with all of this.
We have no choice but to assist the Kosovars with whatever action is needed. Nobody knows how it will end, but the outcome will affect all of us for years to come. Only one thing is sure, and that is there will be no winners.
