I am writing in regard to the road junction which links Water Lane to Clifton Moor Gate. This junction is an absolute nightmare.
Traffic wishing to turn right towards the Bumper Castle pub have no chance whatsoever of getting away from this junction.
Traffic coming from Tesco will not give way to them, even though a lot of that traffic is turning right into Water Lane.
The traffic coming down from the Bumper Castle travels so fast that no one knows whether it is going straight on or turning left into Water Lane, because not many drivers even to bother to use their indicators.
Late one afternoon I was approaching this junction from Tesco supermarket and Clifton Moor Gate, wanting to turn right into Water Lane.
I stopped to let two cars indicating to turn right towards the Bumper Castle road. I let them pull out, there was a stream of traffic behind them. The car driver behind me was very agitated, sounding his car horn.
It makes one ask where is the courtesy of some car drivers today. How would he have felt if he had been in that line of traffic?Traffic lights should be put here before a serious accident happens.
