QUALITAIR Survivor, who made an encouraging start to his career when finishing second at Musselburgh last month, can fulfil that promise at Ludlow tomorrow.

The Tim Etherington-trained gelding will again be partnered by Lorcan Wyer as he bids for the Ludlow Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Qualitair Survivor created a good impression on his debut in Scotland, going down by only a length to the more experienced Plenty Spirit, a winner again since over hurdles.

That first outing will not have been wasted on nap selection Qualitair Survivor, who makes plenty of appeal.

Etherington and Wyer also team up in the Bundy (UK) Handicap Chase, which is the target of Owens Quest.

The nine-year-old finished a good second to Salem Beach at Musselburgh last time, establishing a long lead until caught by the winner after the final fence.

Owens Quest has not been out since that race 11 weeks ago, so her fitness has to be taken on trust, but she promises to turn in a bold show.

Tremendisto, in cracking form at present, lines up for the Racing Channel Handicap Hurdle.

Trevor Wall's gelding gained a resounding eight lengths win over Studio Thirty at Hereford last month and has since finished a creditable runner-up to Shadiann, the 2-1 favourite. He should go well again.

Amoroso, a disappointing odds-on favourite here three weeks ago, should be given the opportunity to make amends in the Bundy (Europe) Juvenile Novices' Hurdle.

Nicky Henderson's four-year-old could finish only fourth to Brilliant Star last time but the ground was soft and he failed to get home under pressure. He merits another chance.

At Chepstow, Pride of Kashmir can return to the winning trail in the Caffrey's Irish Ale Novices' Handicap Chase.

Philip Hobbs' six-year-old was in good form earlier in the season, and finished a creditable runner-up to Zingibar at Exeter on his last outing at the end of September.
