Pot Black UK can snooker his rivals at Exeter tomorrow.

The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding goes for the Robert Webb Travel Handicap Hurdle and is strongly fancied to repeat his recent success over the same course and distance.

On that occasion, a fortnight ago, Pot Black UK scored by an easy seven lengths from Dawn Spinner in a novices' hurdle and could have comfortably doubled his winning margin had his motionless rider so wished.

The opposition that day was nothing to write home about, but it was still a very pleasing performance from Pot Black UK, considering it was his first outing for almost two years after being sidelined with leg problems.

Into handicap company tomorrow and looking far from overburdened, Pot Black UK can score again in the hands of Robert Widger.Widger can complete a double on Welburn Boy in the Goshawk Novices' Handicap Hurdle.

The seven-year-old returned from an unsuccessful spell of chasing to gain a 12-1 victory over hurdles at Hereford earlier this month.

It would be foolish to get carried away with that win, which was gained in only modest company, but Welburn Boy still deserves respect here, racing from the foot of the handicap.

Gratomi is an interesting runner in the Buzzard Handicap Chase with Tony McCoy in the saddle.

The consistent nine-year-old returned from a break to finish a respectable fourth to Shadrach at Hereford recently, making the running until weakening over the final three fences.

He should have benefited from that race and is fancied to take a deal of catching tomorrow.

At Uttoxeter, Master Rastus can follow-up his recent Taunton success in the featured Trentham Gardens Showcase Handicap Hurdle.

The six-year-old was value for at least ten lengths when coasting home at odds-on from Blackwater Brave at Taunton last time.

Adrian Maguire, in the saddle that day, takes the mount again tomorrow on Master Rastus, who is napped to come out on top.

The St Modwen Handicap Chase over an extended three miles will take some getting on the prevailing heavy ground but High Island should not be inconvenienced.

Mary Reveley's lightly-raced eight-year-old romped home by ten lengths over an extended three miles at Bangor two weeks ago. Running off a very favourable mark again tomorrow, he should take plenty of beating.

The Northern Racing Novices' Handicap Chase may provide a winning opportunity for Emperor's Magic, who shaped well at Sedgefield last week.

The gelding is trained by Norman Mason and the mount of his number one jockey Richard Guest.

Windsor's season-opening meeting on Thursday is in doubt due to heavy rain.

The fixture, which kicks off the Flat turf campaign along with a card at Doncaster the same day, is subject to an inspection tomorrow.

"I'm concerned with one particular area past the winning post and because of the forecast we are going to have a precautionary inspection at 3.00pm on Tuesday," said clerk of the course Hugo Bevan.
