Peter Beaumont, one of the unsung heroes of the Cheltenham Festival, can gain a deserved big-race victory with Young Kenny in tomorrow's £70,000 Marstons Pedigree Midlands Grand National.
The Brandsby trainer took two horses to Cheltenham, Island Chief and Niki Dee, and both ran their hearts out to finish second.
Young Kenny can put Beaumont in the winners' frame tomorrow just as he did at Haydock last month when clinching the valuable Greenalls Grand National Trial.
That resounding victory over three and a half miles, and from a strong field, confirmed Young Kenny to be a staying chaser of considerable talent.
The further he goes the better he seems to be and tomorrow's four and a quarter miles promises to elevate him to even greater height.
It will be a tough race, but Nap selection Young Kenny has what it takes to win this marathon.
Channel 4 cameras will be at Newcastle, where Attadale can lift the Sendig Construction Handicap Hurdle.
A recent winner over this course and distance, Tony Dicken's veteran performer can follow-up under Tony Dobbin, who went so close to winning yesterday's Cheltenham Gold Cup on 66-1 runner-up Go Ballistic.
