Politically speaking, ours is a marriage of opposites. Little Boy Blue wed to an Old Labour dinosaur set in aspic. A life sentence!
Nevertheless, we both agree with David Ellis (Letters, January 22) about York's MP. In particular, it is fair to say that Hugh Bayley did his utmost regarding Imphal Barracks by keeping supporters of the campaign to retain the Army HQ in York informed every step of the way.
