YORK is deservedly famous for its outstanding reputation as a national leader in all classes of engineering and invention and new enterprises are being brought into being and developed with skill and confidence.
But can anyone tell me where and how I can get a pair of scissors sharpened?
The staff at the city's two main ironmongers say "Oh, that man has left" and if I try to explain that all I want is to get a pair of scissors sharpened they begin to look as though they fear for their own safety and my sanity!
I'm almost making a career of this form of research.
Have any of your readers any hints which might help me?
