I was delighted to open the 'Press' (Monday, January 18) to find the photograph of the Lord Mayor and Civic Party standing on the steps of the Mansion House.
The article by Chris Titley was very interesting too, more so to myself than most perhaps, because the sword-bearer is my grandfather Arthur Frederick Wight (not Wright as stated). As well as being sword-bearer I believe he was a butler too.
"Jock Wilson" is my sister-in-law's cousin's husband's grandfather too, so we "keep it in the family," as they say.
