Striker Neil Tolson posted his claim for a senior comeback in the reserves' derby against Scarborough.
Tolson smashed a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over North Yorkshire rivals Boro at Bootham Crescent last night to improve their Pontin's League division two placing.
The game lost its competitive edge though after 20 minutes when the visitors had a man sent off. City then took command, Tolson profiting with three goals, including a penalty. The other goals came from winger Rory Prendergast and substitute striker James Turley.
Besides the nap hand there was a triple boost for the hosts. Player-coach Neil Thompson featured for the first half, midfielder Alan Pouton starred in the last 20 minutes, and goalkeeper Andy Warrington completed his first full game as all three made comebacks from long-term injuries.
