Yorkshire have agreed a new deal with Scarborough Cricket Club for matches at North Marine Road over the next two years.

Although Yorkshire will receive less than the annual £30,000 guarantee from Scarborough which has operated for the past couple of seasons, they will be entitled to a share of the gate if it exceeds a certain level.

As previously reported, the festival will be cut back this year and its seven days, starting on August 30, will include Yorkshire's championship match with Kent and their National League fixture with Leicestershire.

The festival will open with Yorkshire Ladies playing the Rest of England and this will be followed on Tuesday, August 31, with

Yorkshire meeting Durham in their annual battle for the Northern Electric Trophy.

Scarborough chief executive Cec Snell said that sponsors had been fixed up for individual days of the championship match.
