I am looking forward to a photograph on your front page of Anne McIntosh, Vale of York MP, being dragged away by the police (MP vows to lie in path of pylons, January 15).
I hope that while she sits in a police cell she would realise the irony of the fact that her party introduced the laws severely curbing peaceful protest in this country.
I would also expect a front page headline which showed John Greenway saying that 'McIntosh should pay for pylons protest policing', in the same vein as the 'Horne should pay for hospital care' headline (December 9).
If some ranting right wing MP/MEP should end up convicted for taking part in a peaceful protest I am sure that road protesters, hunt saboteurs and other animal rights protesters should be excused a wry smile.
