A host of famous names are tipped to grace the stage at York's new nightclub during its opening month, the Evening Press can reveal today.
Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen, alias Ricky and Bianca from Eastenders, and former Neighbours star Jason Donovan will make guest appearances at ikon and Diva next month.
The opening night of the £3 million club at Clifton Moor will also be marked with appearances from look-a-like characters from Only Fools And Horses and Absolutely Fabulous.
The Massive Heads from TFI Friday and the pop group Blockster, who are currently riding high in the Top Ten with their single You Should Be, will also be performing at the club during its opening week.
General manager Dave Ryan said: "We thought that instead of having just one big celebrity we would have a number of famous guests visiting us over the opening month.
"The official opening of this club is going to be a lavish affair with loads going on. We're delighted that Patsy and Sid have agreed to come along to the club and Jason a week later."
Builders are currently putting the final touches to the twin scene ikon and Diva, which officially opens on Thursday, February 4.
The club, which will have a capacity of 1,970, will house seven bars and spacious raised and split-level dance floors as well as playing host to the "best DJs from across the UK".
Patsy and Sid will be making guest appearances at the club on Saturday, February 6 and Jason Donovan will be appearing on Thursday, February 18.
