I WOULD dearly like to know just what the highway authorities are up to in Moor Lane in Stamford Bridge.
Towards the end of last year speed humps were installed in the section of this road between the church and the new housing estate.
I did not think these were necessary but they do, of course, serve to pacify the 'all-motorists-are-guilty-so-let's-wreck-their-suspensions-and give-them-back-problems' brigade.
However, a week last Friday these were dug up and large shallow holes were left in their place.
At first I thought these were a variation on the speed humps but by Saturday most of the speed humps had been replaced.
I'm not cross, just puzzled.
