Wayward King, winner of two of his three races this season, is poised to complete a treble at Wincanton tomorrow.
The smart seven-year-old bids for the £15,000 John Bull Chase and is napped to have the edge over his four rivals.
Wayward King is no stranger to Wincanton, having scored over the course and distance on Boxing Day. That success was gained at the main expense of the hot favourite Stormy Passage, who he beat by a decisive three lengths.
Still on the upgrade Wayward King can rule tomorrow.
David Nicholson and Adrian Maquire, who have made plenty of headlines of one sort or another recently, can land the Lillo Lumb Challenge Cup Handicap Chase with Saras Delight.
The seven-year-old got off the mark over fences at Hereford last month when beating St Mellion Drive, the 11-10 favourite, by two lengths. Open to further improvement Saras Delight can follow-up in handicap company here.
Millersford could prove the answer to the Corscombe Novices' Handicap Chase.
Nick Gaselee's gelding, already a winner this season, was a creditable runner-up at Warwick last time to Knight's Crest over three and a quarter miles. He is worth another chance tomorrow over this shorter distance.
The well-regarded Boro Sovereign has strong claims in the Spettisbury 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle.
Winner of a 'bumper' two seasons ago before missing the whole of last term, Nicky Henderson's smart gelding scored a seven lengths comeback win in a 'bumper' at Huntingdon on Boxing Day.
Now set to tackle hurdles, a bold bid is anticipated under Mick Fitzgerald.
Krabloonik can win the Jamboree Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle. A creditable runner-up to Pietro Bembo over this course and distance on Boxing Day, he looks poised to go one better under the competent Jamie Goldstein.
Tomorrow's Wetherby meeting is in doubt because of snow. There was to be an inspection of the course this afternoon.
If it does, Santa Concerto, unbeaten in both his starts this season, can complete a hat-trick in the Monkton Handicap Chase, and prolific winner Kadou Nonantais looks the one to be on in the Towton Novices' Chase.
