In addition to a multitude of specialist vehicles Lex Transfleet has also introduced sister Company Lex Vehicle Leasing to handle more than 1,000 cars for the major electricity and gas supplier.
The contract includes full maintenance and vehicle fleet management, vehicle and asset procurement, plus comprehensive fuel and accident management.
Including cars, the two-year £7m contract, has a further three-year extension option. The agreement is also written around an incentive scheme for savings made on behalf of Yorkshire Electricity.
Procurement manager at Yorkshire Electricity, Richard Hetherington, said: "We have chosen Lex Transfleet as our strategic partner because of their flexibility and willingness to tailor a solution to our business needs. They have shown expertise on all relevant issues."
