FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD Selby cricketer Lee Clayton is the latest winner of a Northern Electric and Gas Future Sportsstars Award.
All-rounder Lee, from Wistow, is determined to reach the top of his sport and hopes the award will help him reach his goal.
He said: "I would like to thank Northern Electric and Gas for my award. It makes me even more determined to reach the top and maybe even play for England one day."
Lee has been playing cricket since the age of nine and has represented Yorkshire at every level through to Under-14. He has represented the North of England U14 team, and plays for Castleford and for York District.
He was recently selected for the England U14 squad and taken part in specialised training with them.
His award of £500 plus sports clothing was presented by Martyn Moxon, Yorkshire CCC's director of coaching, and will allow Lee to buy new equipment for this season and help with coaching and travel expenses.
