May I be allowed to thank the wonderful choir who sang in Moss Street on the evening of December 15. I was unfortunately confined to my bed, also my dear friend was in hospital very ill. I was staying in Moss Street to look after his beautiful cat Blackie.
At 6.11pm I answered the phone, a message to say my dear friend Paddy had passed away. Just then this beautiful singing was heard, the best I have heard in a very long time, so to the choir whoever you were, to me you were like angels, just when I needed you. Thanks to you all.

...MY wife and I took two lovely homeless cats from the Cats Protection League in Malton and have named them Sammy and Lucky.
Lucky had been at the receiving end of some horrific cruelty and is only just beginning to respond to our kindness and love.
The Cats Protection League - in particular Marina and Bernard Dowson of Norton - handled the move so well and prior to us receiving them they were neutered, wormed and checked over by local qualified vets - free of charge to us.
When we collected our new-found bundles of joy we were given food for them, a folder full of useful information and all free, in spite of our offers to pay.
Needless to say I have joined the CPL and having but praise for them. I would hasten to add that unlike the RSPCA they only deal with cats - whereas the RSPCA lovingly looks after all unwanted animals. We have great respect for both societies.
