As I cycle home from work at about 8.45pm along Goodramgate and through town I see several "beggars" or people sleeping rough occupying doorways seeming to be bedded down for the night. It's not an unusual sight nowadays and I suppose they receive money from the late night revellers.
However, as I return to work early in the morning the next day along the same route none of the people sleeping rough are still there. I cannot help wondering if they have gone home to bed hours ago?
